This is a project workshop; most students will complete their book.
Description of workshop : Add new texture and depth to your work with the art of bees wax collage. Complete an altered board book using only bee’s wax as an adhesive. Learn the versatility of this medium including adding color, stamping, layering, and adding embellishments, transfers and much more.
Supply List:
Blank Board Book – either purchase one or remove the plastic coating from a
children’s book and paint with two coats of gesso before class.
Scissors
Tweezers
Paint brush to become wax dedicated
Images printed both on heavy weight cardstock and text weight paper ( A variety
of collage packages will be available for purchase for $20 that will include at
least 7 -8˝” by 11” collage sheets, vintage papers and embellishments,
everything needed to complete the book. The themes will include Asian, Vintage
Romance, Native American, Fashion, Travel and Nature, to name a few. )
