Squishy Book Therapeutic Unification Paper class length 6 hour split into two classes. Description of workshop: I can’t throw anything away; it’s quite a problem for me. I end up with piles of leftover stuff until I no longer have any room to work. The way I have come to terms with my predicament is my Therapeutic Completion Paper. After I have finished a project, I take all the leftovers, bits of paper, fabric, paint or embellishments and glue them into a solid sheet. This process produces a wonderful soft feel of fabric and an amazing amount of depth as you see into the layers. The pages of the book come alive with texture and color. Come learn this wonderful technique that will turn your scrap box into a fabulous journal. We’ll spend one class creating wonderful papers, from thin transparent papers to thick textural papers. We’ll use stamping, mono-printing and resist techniques to decorate our book pages. These will all dry over night then the next class we’ll use these papers to create a unique fiber bound and embellished book. supply List: Pencil, Scissor, Ruler, Awl, Tapestry needle Optional items: Apron, Adirondack or Similar Inkpads, Bold and Background Stamps, Paper Cutter, Any Found Papers to Be Unified into The Project. gloves
Uniquely Shaped Enameled Books class length 3 hours Description of workshop: This book is unique. Choose from a variety of shapes. Create amazing covers with enamels that sparkle, shine and are filled with texture. Complete the pages learning a multitude of background techniques including mono-printing, resists, stamping and inking. Make delightful embellishments out of enamels and art molds. Finish the book with a unique fancy fiber binding. Supply list: Pencil, Scissor, Ruler, Awl, Tapestry needle, Water based inkpads (optional), Bold and background stamps (optional)
Class length - 3 hours Description of workshop: Create these unique pendants encasing your favorite treasures into a glass like pendant. These fun, fast pendants have the look of resin with out the long drying time. They will make wonderful center pieces in your favorite jewelry. Supply list: Scissor, Tweezers, Charms or tiny found objects, Tiny collage images, Word stamp (optional)
Learn how to custom make fabulous embellishment for all your projects, create jewelry that looks like semi-precious stones. Use Polymer clay and art molds to form amazing embellishments. You will produce casts that look like Balinese silver, bronze, rusted steel, verdigris copper, jade, rose quarts, carved wood, glazed terracotta, malachite, and tiger’s eye. You will leave this class with lots and lots of finished embellishments ready for use in your favorite projects.

Supply List: Few medium size paint brushes, Water container, Tile work surface, Scissor, Pen, Finger nail file (emery board), Acrylic block (like the ones for mounting stamps) Optional: Pasta Machine.
Please bring a blank board book or make one by removing the printed plastic coating and paint with white gesso, scissors & embellishments-printed images, anything will work including inkjet prints.
With Age Comes Beauty
Description of workshop: Being beautiful when you’re young or new is easy but true beauty can only be found with age. In this class we will learn an easy technique to turn a canvas, wood or paper form into an exquisite patina piece of metal. We will use different objects to create amazing texture; you’re not going to believe how this is achieved. Using molds, we will create embellishments out of polymer clay to compete the project. Class length 6 hours Supply list:One or two items to transform, anything with a porous surface such as unfinished wood, book cover, paper mache, cardboard, or canvas. After Midnight Necklace
Class Description: Create a necklace that has the shimmer of the moon and the pizzazz of a night on the town. Learn how to make an amazing pendant that looks like you’ve mastered the art of glass working. We will start with an actual piece of glass with a bead attached and add layers of enamels until the piece has the look of slumped glass. Then learn an innovative way to string the pendant using fibers and beads. Length 3 hours Supply List: Scissor, Wire cutters, Jewelry pliers, Beads, Fibers, Craft Wire
